Summary

As a Business Development Representative at UpKeep, you will be responsible for expanding the pipeline of qualified opportunities, managing and maintaining a pipeline of interested prospects, creating account plans, driving outbound prospecting, engaging with prospects to qualify and set appointments, meeting or exceeding strategic goals, participating in industry events, performing regular follow-up calls or emails, updating and maintaining CRM database (Salesforce.com), and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

2+ years of outbound B2B software / SaaS sales experience

Responsibilities

  • Expand our pipeline of qualified opportunities and build relationships by opening sales conversations with prospects who align with UpKeep’s ideal customer profile
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects, while strategically partnering with Territory Managers to create and run playbooks for winning prioritized accounts
  • Create account plans by conducting research and synthesizing information and other materials that reflect a comprehensive understanding of UpKeep’s customers’ needs and how UpKeep delivers value
  • Drive Outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, sales sequences and nurture campaigns
  • Efficiently determine a prospect’s interest in our product and initially screen for needs
  • Engage with prospects over email, phone, and other strategic networking channels to qualify and set appointments for Territory Managers
  • Meet or exceed strategic goals and committed targets by engaging with qualified leads and enabling the next step in the sales cycle
  • Participate in/travel to industry events to meet with potential clients in-person
  • Perform regular follow-up calls or emails and facilitate communication with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify new potential needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interacting with director-level executives and up
  • Salesforce.com or a similar modern CRM tool a plus
