Business Intelligence Developer

Summary

Join our team as a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer / Data Visualization Analyst for a 60-day project! You will enhance and expand our Power BI dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and providing actionable insights for executive decision-making. Key responsibilities include dashboard optimization and maintenance, data integration and mapping, and collaboration with stakeholders. The role requires proven experience with BI tools (Power BI preferred), strong SQL proficiency, and familiarity with data governance. This is a remote position offering a competitive hourly rate and benefits package.

Requirements

• Proven experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with data lakes and enterprise databases (especially Oracle)
• Familiarity with data governance principles and error handling best practices

Responsibilities

• Audit and clean the existing data feed sourced from Oracle to ensure integrity and consistency
• Enhance and reformat existing dashboards to improve user experience and interface usability
• Build new dashboards and a high-level summary dashboard to support business goals
• Implement robust data governance processes (load checks and error flagging)
• Add new data source (Demand Plan)
• Locate, improve, and maintain mapping files such as product and customer mappings
• Streamline and align hierarchy mappings between multiple sources of data
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define dashboard requirements and deliver enhancements
• Transition ownership of dashboard maintenance to internal team members, including documentation and training
