Business Intelligence Engineer

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain data solutions to support data-driven decision making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, gather requirements, and build data solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing data warehousing and BI solutions, building and maintaining data models and data marts, developing ETL pipelines, creating dashboards and reports, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with the Talent team on hiring and recruitment. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, 3+ years of related experience, proficiency in SQL, and experience with programming languages, data modeling tools, and version control solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s  Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3 + years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 1+ years of experience with a Master’s Degree
• Experience in designing and developing data marts and models, ETL pipelines, and BI solutions
• Experience working with databases such as SQL Server and BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java)
• Familiarity with modern data modeling, messaging, and orchestration tools such as DBT, Kafka, and Airflow
• Experience with version control solutions such as Git
• Strong understanding of data architecture and data processing methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team

Responsibilities

• Design, Develop, and Maintain Data Solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing and BI solutions
• Build and maintain data models and data marts that support self-service analytics for end-users
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest and transform data from various sources into a format suitable for analysis
• Create and Communicate Data Insights
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into key business metrics
• Create data visualizations that communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner
• Ensure Data Quality and Troubleshoot Issues
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
• Talent Management
• Collaborate with the Talent team to actively engage in the hiring and recruitment processes. Leveraging industry networks and expertise to identify, attract , and interview top talent that aligns with the company's objectives and values
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members within your department and across diverse functions
• Play an integral role in shaping and reinforcing the overall company culture, promoting values that enhance teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement
• Additional Responsibilities
• Must be available for on-call duty during peak periods, providing support outside of regular working hours as needed to ensure the timely resolution of critical issues
