Join Pathward's Enterprise Information Management team as a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer and lead our Report Rationalization efforts. This hybrid, remote-office role involves analyzing legacy reporting, interviewing stakeholders, and developing new data models and dashboards using Power BI and ThoughtSpot. You will design robust data models, create interactive dashboards, provide technical guidance, and improve BI processes. Requirements

  • Obtain a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Have 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related role
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Power BI and SQL
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have experience with data modeling and database design
  • Showcase excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Possess strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Have experience with data visualization best practices
  • Show familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Have knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R
  • Have experience with data governance and data quality management
  • Understand business processes and be able to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Have experience with other BI tools and technologies
  • Have knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
  • Show familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Obtain certification in Power BI or other relevant BI tools
  • Have experience in the financial services or healthcare industry

Responsibilities

  • Lead the initiative to analyze and optimize existing legacy reports, identifying redundancies and opportunities for consolidation
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand reporting needs, and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Design and develop robust data models that support efficient and accurate reporting, ensuring scalability and performance
  • Create interactive and insightful dashboards using Power BI and ThoughtSpot, providing stakeholders with actionable insights
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Continuously evaluate and improve BI processes and methodologies, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Stay updated with the latest BI tools and technologies, driving innovation and adoption of new solutions within the team
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, dashboards, and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and dashboards
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality BI solutions
  • Manage BI projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals and timelines
