Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Business Operations Manager to join our global remote impact investment advisory firm. Key responsibilities include company goal setting, strategic meetings, HR management, IT/cybersecurity, contracts/legal, vendor management, expense review, and team coaching. The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of business operations experience, preferably within a remote or global setting.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7-10 years in business operations, preferably within a remote or global setting. Strong execution and project management skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • A focus on systematic thinking paired with a practical approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to promote efficiency and effectiveness in operations
  • Effective negotiation skills and experience managing third-party vendors
  • Confidentiality and maturity in handling sensitive information

Responsibilities

  • Company Goal Setting: Run the KPI/OKR process, facilitating goal setting and tracking progress against objectives
  • Strategic Meetings and Follow-Up: Prepare, join, and ensure follow-up from Leadership team meetings and offsites
  • HR Management: Oversee HR processes and administration, including internal contracts, performance and promotion processes
  • IT/Cybersecurity: Oversee IT and cybersecurity operations leveraging our IT vendors, ensuring the safety and integrity of company data and systems
  • Contracts/Legal: Handle contract negotiations and maintain relationships with third-party vendors, including software subscriptions, IT/cybersecurity support and services, and website maintenance
  • Vendor Management: Oversee third-party vendors, including negotiating contracts and managing relationships. Functional vendors will be managed by respective functional leads
  • Expense review: Review company expenses such as software to ensure accuracy and spot opportunities for reductions/renegotiations
  • Team Coaching: Direct and coach Executive Assistants and Administrative Assistants, establishing a collaborative, coordinated and productive working environment

Preferred Qualifications

Preferably has worked at a company with 100-1,000 people; understanding the balance between keeping things simple and practical while improving core processes
