  • Track and evaluate students’ progress by documenting individual needs, goals, and action steps after each session to ensure continuous development
  • Use assessments to help students evaluate their aptitudes and interests and advise them on relevant educational and career pathways
  • Support students in developing resilience and a growth mindset, preparing them to overcome challenges they may face in achieving their career goals

Job Description

Passion for Life, Inc. seeks committed and motivated individuals to serve as Career Coaches. This impactful role involves guiding middle and high school students through self-discovery exercises, career exploration, and goal setting to help them realize their potential. As a Career Coach, you will guide in-person workshops and group coaching sessions, using an interactive and engaging approach to inspire students to define and pursue their career aspirations.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about guiding youth and helping students unlock their potential. Undergraduate and graduate students in fields like Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, or related human services are encouraged to apply, making it a valuable experience for those pursuing careers in counseling, career coaching, or community service.

Schedule

This position prefers a one-year commitment, but it is not a requirement. The role is structured as a 15-week program. Interns are expected to complete 129 hours per semester, including mandatory training. Compensation is provided at a flat rate per semester.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Additional Information

Participation and Availability

  • Monthly Workshops: These are typically held once or twice a month. Career Coaches will be contacted in advance to confirm availability.

  • Training: This role requires mandatory virtual training sessions, paid for in the flat rate compensation. These sessions also contribute toward fulfilling required class hours for eligible students.

  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a solid commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Location and Work Authorization

  • Candidates must be based in Georgia and have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
