As a Carrier Operations Representative, you will collaborate with Carrier Sales Representatives to ensure smooth and timely service for both customers and carriers. This role involves managing critical shipment information, monitoring carrier communications, and proactively addressing issues. You will be responsible for tracking shipments, communicating with carriers, supporting sales operations, and staying informed about industry trends. This position requires strong communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills, along with experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics coordination within the US market.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics coordination on the US market
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and influence others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build productive internal and external partnerships
  • Team Player Attitude: Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments
  • Strong Multitasking Skills: Comfortable handling multiple tasks and using technology efficiently
  • Industry Knowledge: Willingness to learn about freight markets, carrier types, and transportation trends
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
  • Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented and accurate in work
  • Adaptability: Able to work confidently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Accurately update and document shipment statuses in internal systems
  • Monitor carrier performance to ensure timely deliveries and resolve mid-transit issues according to company SOPs
  • Contact carriers to obtain time-sensitive updates and log information appropriately
  • Manage team email, responding to both internal and external requests in a timely manner
  • Proactively identify and communicate issues to relevant teams for quick resolution
  • Assist Carrier Sales Representatives by ensuring smooth operations across their book of business
  • Collaborate with internal departments and maintain a professional attitude while working under pressure
  • Stay informed about industry trends, including seasonal and geographic freight dynamics
  • Be open to learning and mastering the company’s proprietary technology and systems
  • Maintain a positive attitude, exhibit a strong work ethic, and contribute to team success
  • Support co-workers and management by fostering a collaborative work environment
