Summary
Join Birdy Grey as their Category Manager, Suits, a remote role requiring quarterly travel to either the LA or NY office. This position leads the growth and profitability of the company's nascent Suits business. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive product and go-to-market strategy, leveraging data analysis to inform decision-making and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree
- 4+ years of experience in management/strategy consulting firm and 2+ years in retail, with merchandising experience a plus
- Highly analytical, data-driven problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Action-oriented, self-starter with a big-picture perspective and attention to detail
- Ability to build strong relationships and inspire trust and followership
- Ability to identify and prioritize impactful business issues, creating structured frameworks and action plans
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments with high autonomy
- Hard-working and willing to handle various tasks
Responsibilities
- Set the strategic vision and ensure successful execution to achieve category top-line and bottom-line targets
- Develop a roadmap to accelerate growth within the next 18 months, leveraging learnings from the recent business launch
- Build a vision for expanding the product assortment to maximize revenue growth, using consumer insights, business performance, competitive landscape, and trends
- Drive the selection and presentation of the product assortment, guiding the cross-functional team to ensure successful client experience
- Partner with the product development team to refine and expand the assortment selection and refine the vendor matrix
- Determine which KPIs should be tracked, measured, and reported on
- Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and provide insights on sales performance, customer preferences, and market trends
- Provide weekly business reviews, focusing on actionable insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (merchandise planning, marketing, supply chain, and finance) to ensure successful execution
- Actively drive category growth by partnering with growth marketing, brand, and site merchandising teams to drive traffic and conversion through assortment-driven content calendars and 360 marketing campaigns
- Partner with Operations and merchandise planning teams to optimize inventory management, drive cost efficiencies, and support new initiatives
- Support the CX team in addressing customer feedback where appropriate
- Influence site merchandising and digital product roadmap to optimize product presentation and drive site conversion and sales
