Summary
Join WorkWave as their Chief Architect and lead the development and deployment of architecture vision and strategies across the company's product portfolio. You will define governing principles for enterprise architecture decisions, develop strategies to maintain consistency across products, and review and approve product architectures. This role involves leading teams, defining technology principles, creating strategic vision with executive management, and overseeing the development of future leaders. You will act as a strategic influencer and escalation point for high-priority issues, collaborating with stakeholders to drive success. The position requires extensive experience in software architecture, agile methodologies, and leadership.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in related field
- Minimum 10 years prior experience in agile and scrum methodologies
- Experienced in the use of metrics to drive high velocity of outcomes while ensuring that all outcomes meet the definition of done
- Expert level experience with continuous software delivery
- Expert level experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Expert level experience in understanding and application of software design, design patterns, architecture patterns, and quality attributes
- Expert level knowledge and application of modern software development lifecycle processes from product conception through deployment
- Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Exceptional collaboration skills, applied successfully within a team as well as other areas
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in communicating with customers a must
- Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Exceptional ability to self-motivate and direct
- Superior analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Entrepreneurial personality strong sense of urgency
- Enthusiasm and ability to mentor less experienced team members
- Bachelor degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in the development and deployment of architecture vision and strategies across the company's entire portfolio
- Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide enterprise architecture decision making
- Develop architecture strategies to maintain consistency, integrity, and maintainability across the product suite
- Review and approve product architectures for new systems and integrations
- Lead the development and execution of a communication and education plan for the organizations architects
- Lead the business-wide technical and business discussions relative to future enterprise design platform direction
- Lead teams of other business, technical, and enterprise architects in designing and developing new solutions
- Define principles that guide technology decisions and the relationships between enterprise business context and specified technology
- Create strategic vision and collaborate with executive management to define and ensure success of strategy in alignment with organizational objectives
- Oversee the development of future leaders and assist in identifying leadership potential within the team that aligns with the people strategy
- Act as a strategic influencer to internal and external peers, industry groups, and/or customers
- Serve as the final escalation point for highest priority issues; provide direction and guidance to assist with resolution of issues
- Work closely with appropriate stakeholders and business leaders to ensure success to drive collaborative work across departments
