Requirements

  • Proven track record as a CEO or senior executive, preferably within retail, grocery, or a similar consumer-focused industry
  • Experience scaling a company from a single-unit operation to a multi-location chain is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and execute on brand-building strategies, with a focus on innovation and customer experience
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, fundraising, and working with private equity investors
  • Hands-on experience in implementing scalable systems and driving operational excellence across multiple units
  • Ability to build and lead a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
  • Deep understanding of grocery retail trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a scalable business strategy to expand from a single-unit operation to a multi-unit regional grocery chain
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure locations for new stores, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth objectives and target demographics
  • Explore innovative revenue streams such as e-commerce, private label products, and in-store experiences
  • Act as the visionary leader to define the brand’s identity, mission, and value proposition, creating a unique grocery experience for customers
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to craft a consistent brand image across all touchpoints, including store design, digital presence, and community engagement
  • Stay ahead of consumer trends to integrate sustainability, health, and convenience into the brand’s offerings
  • Build and lead a high-performing executive team to support growth and manage day-to-day operations
  • Implement scalable systems and processes to ensure operational efficiency and consistent quality across all locations
  • Develop partnerships with suppliers, distributors, and vendors to optimize cost structures and maintain high product standards
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, ensuring the company meets growth targets and profitability benchmarks
  • Work closely with the private equity investors to provide regular updates on progress, milestones, and financial outcomes
  • Secure additional funding as needed to fuel expansion plans
  • Drive initiatives to introduce and grow new revenue streams, such as meal kits, loyalty programs, or partnerships with third-party delivery services
  • Explore technology solutions, such as AI-driven inventory management or personalized shopping experiences, to differentiate the brand
  • Foster a company culture that emphasizes customer focus, innovation, and operational excellence
  • Serve as the face of the company in the community, building relationships with stakeholders, customers, and local leaders
  • Inspire and align the organization around a shared vision for growth and success
