Remote Chief Financial Officer

Summary

Pachama is seeking a Chief Financial Officer with at least 10 years of experience leading finance at venture-backed, post-series B technology startups to shape the company's financial strategy, lead fundraising efforts, manage investor relations, and oversee strategic financial operations. The role is fully remote.

Requirements

• Experience leading finance at venture-backed, post-series B technology startups of at least 10 years, encompassing FP&A, Strategic Finance, Capital Markets, Legal, HR, etc
• Experience in financial institutions such as investment banks, venture or private equity where insight into capital markets was gained
• Experience with investor relations and communicating with a board of directors
• Demonstrated success in raising various forms of capital, including equity, debt, project finance, tax credits, and grants
• Clear strategic thinking and experience designing and refining strong business models
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated success hiring, recruiting and managing high-performing teams
• Experience scaling companies with effective standard procedures, while fostering a positive culture for innovation
• Experience managing international operations and multiple subsidiaries

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to shape the company’s strategy from a financial point of view, including capital formation and allocation, short and long-term financial planning, analysis and execution
• Leading fundraising efforts, managing investor relations, and handling capital markets strategies, including fund formation, project finance and strategic partnerships with capital managers
• Oversee strategic financial operations, budgeting, forecasting and general cash flow management and reporting
• Build and manage teams to execute on all key areas under management
• Conduct financial analysis, identify opportunities and risks, and recommend strategies to mitigate risks
• Work with executives across the organization, helping them develop strategic plans and provide analytical support on the execution of key projects
• Lead financial reporting, treasury, tax, and audit functions across multiple entities

Experience on carbon markets, climate tech or sustainability a plus
