Claims Adjuster - Physical Damage

Summary

You will handle first and third-party claims, including cargo, auditing, and collaborating with claims leadership on complex cases. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in commercial auto and/or transportation claim adjudication, an adjuster's license, and strong communication and collaboration skills. Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial auto and/or transportation claim adjudication
• Experience in Active adjusters license in home or designated home state
• Consistently exceeds targets including, but not limited to, cycle time and recovery rates
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and stretch yourself
• Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions and results
• Strong collaborator with team members based across the country and the world
• Successfully able to work in high-growth & ambiguous start-up environments

Responsibilities

• Analyze coverage based on the facts of the loss
• Make informed liability decisions, including the consideration of comparative negligence
• Collaborate with claims leadership on severity losses, reserve adjustments and claim evaluations
• Negotiate settlements with first and third party claimants
• Utilize data available to drive focus on claim trends
• Handle special projects or additional duties assigned related to your role as an individual contributor of the claims organization
