Requirements

  • Possess Industry Experience: Prior experience working in carbon management or sustainability-focused roles within a corporate sustainability team at a large enterprise, consultancy or similar
  • Demonstrate Client Communication Skills: Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging client presentations and communications
  • Have Project Management Skills: Strong project management skill set, with experience managing projects from start to finish
  • Show Climate Knowledge: Experience with climate topics, dedicated exposure to carbon markets, and decarbonization strategy are considered a strong asset
  • Possess Scientific Translation Skills: Ability to translate complex scientific findings and recommendations into actionable business insights
  • Have Business Development Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in business development, including problem-solving, proposal creation, RFP responses, and deal execution
  • Contribute Cross-Functionally: Capacity to contribute across multiple team functions, including high-level communication, deck refinement, and data analysis
  • Have a Track Record of Success: Outstanding track record of success in past professional and academic endeavors, demonstrating a commitment to excellence

Responsibilities

  • Lead Client Engagements: Serve as the primary point of contact between our advisory clients and science teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment throughout the engagement process including retention and upsell of current accounts
  • Develop Statements of Work: Craft comprehensive and tailored statements of work that outline project objectives, deliverables, and timelines
  • Provide Project Management Leadership: Take charge of project management activities, overseeing key milestones and driving progress to ensure timely delivery of results
  • Foster Internal Collaboration: Foster collaboration and buy-in across internal teams, leveraging your leadership skills to drive alignment and shared objectives
  • Provide Senior Client Advisory: Provide expert advice and deliver compelling presentations to senior client executives, guiding them toward informed decision-making
  • Contribute to Deliverable Creation: Contribute to high-quality analytical deliverables that demonstrate deep industry expertise and enhance client service
  • Engage in Business Development: Identify strategic areas for growth with an eye toward carbon management trends by industry, develop and build new relationships, and contribute to revenue targets
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop coherent messaging and communicate effectively to diverse audiences, translating scientific findings into actionable business insights

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience in hybrid and industrial decarbonization, in topics such as; Biomass Carbon Removal and Storage, Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage, Biochar, Direct Air Capture, Carbon Capture and Storage, and/or practice areas such as; engineering project management, mechanical or chemical engineering, manufacturing, cement, or iron/steel
  • Have a Scientific Background: Experience in a relevant scientific or engineering field is advantageous, as is experience communicating with scientists or academics
