Summary

Join our team as a FIX Protocol expert responsible for managing and maintaining secure connections with clients and trading venues. You will customize FIX specifications, manage vendor relationships, and plan for disaster recovery. Your role involves onboarding new clients and venues, optimizing system performance, and liaising with engineers and compliance. You will also assist with regulatory inquiries and audits. This position requires at least 2 years of FIX Protocol experience and 4 years in the finance/trading industry.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in FIX Protocol
  • At least 4 years of experience in Finance/Trading industry
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Ability to solve complex tasks under pressure
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain secure and efficient FIX protocol connections with clients and trading venues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to FIX connections to ensure uninterrupted trading activities
  • Customize FIX protocol specifications to align with individual client and venue requirements
  • Manage Algo FIX specification upgrades and rollouts
  • Continuously review and update specifications to meet evolving trading strategies and regulatory standards
  • Establish and nurture relationships with Electronic Market Service and Order Management System vendors
  • Coordinate with vendors for system compatibility and seamless integration with the firm's technology
  • Organize disaster recovery testing to ensure operational continuity in case of system failures
  • Conduct conformance testing for adherence to internal and external FIX connection standards and requirements
  • Handle the technical setup for integrating new trading venues and onboarding new client connections
  • Ensure smooth and compliant integration processes that meet operational and regulatory needs
  • Continuously monitor the platform's performance, identifying areas for improvement
  • Implement optimizations to enhance system efficiency, reduce latency, and improve overall trading execution
  • Liaise with platform engineers and developers to build and manage monitoring and alerting tools and dashboards
  • Provide detailed technical information and system data in response to inquiries from the firm’s compliance team
  • Assist in internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies
  • Comply with regulatory requests, supplying required technical data and explanations regarding the trading platform's operations
  • Act as the technical point of contact for venues, addressing their queries and concerns regarding trading activities
  • Facilitate communication and information exchange to maintain compliance and good relationships with trading venues
