Summary

Join Watershed's Climate Data Advisor team and play a pivotal role in helping leading companies measure and reduce their carbon footprint. You will advise clients on measuring actionable carbon and non-carbon footprints, perform data analysis to enhance customer insights, and collaborate with various teams to develop innovative measurement methodologies. This role requires 4-5 years of experience in consulting, solutions engineering, or a customer-facing role, excellent communication skills, and a passion for climate change solutions. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Watershed offers the opportunity to work in a mission-oriented startup with offices in San Francisco, New York, London, and Sydney, and remote options available.

Requirements

  • Have 4-5 years experience in a consulting, solutions-engineering, and/or customer-facing role
  • Are an excellent verbal and written communicator. You can communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Learn quickly and operate well in ambiguity. You are organized, systematic, and efficient. You thrive in a high-volume environment
  • Are passionate about solving climate change and excited to contribute to doing so at a fast paced startup
  • Think clearly about complex problems, and are comfortable using and speaking to data. You are meticulous and detail-obsessed

Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on how to measure actionable carbon and non-carbon footprints to reach climate goals and enable real reductions, ranging from scoping new measurements to in-depth methodology comparisons between footprints
  • Perform data enrichment and analysis to enhance customer footprints and derive insights
  • Collaborate with science, engineering, and product teams to pioneer innovative measurement methodologies and expand Watershed's climate intelligence layer

Preferred Qualifications

  • Are fluent in multiple languages (English, French, German or Spanish)
  • Have a degree in climate related fields or experience with GHG accounting
