As an early member of the Professional Services team, you will deliver high-quality, customized solutions to customers using Pulumi's technology. This customer-facing role involves collaborating with strategic customers to understand their infrastructure needs, design tailored solutions, and implement them effectively. You will act as a trusted advisor, leveraging Pulumi's IaC approach to help organizations streamline migration, automate provisioning, and enhance cloud security. Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development for cloud infrastructure or related functions involving scoping, prioritizing and managing cloud architecture and engineering deliverables
- Strong proficiency software engineering fundamentals including clean and concise code, writing documentation, refactoring, test driven development
- Deep familiarity with core web infrastructure, application modernization and software development best practices, Open Source technologies, cloud security, public and private cloud platforms
- Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure with Pulumi, Terraform, Cloudformation and/or similar technologies
- Strong proficiency in Azure, AWS or GCP services including compute, networking, storage, and security
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including cluster deployment, configuration, and management
- Experience with consulting and project delivery management
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong team collaboration skills, problem solving skills, and critical thinking
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate curiosity, creativity, acumen and technical excellence as the lead Pulumi technical resource in complex cloud engineering projects with one of Pulumiโs largest and most strategic customers
- Engage with a strategic customer to understand their infrastructure requirements and business objectives
- Design, architect, and implement Pulumi-based solutions that meet customersโ specific needs and industry best practices
- Learn and be responsible for deliverables and reference architectures spanning programming languages, infrastructure providers, and open source and commercial cloud services
- Act as a trusted advisor and an extension of some of the most sophisticated cloud and platform engineering teams in the world
- Be a Subject Matter Expert in a specific domain related to DevSecOps, cloud providers, development best practices and/or solutions architecture
- Provide timely, responsive and collaborative engagement with your assigned accounts; coordinating with distributed teams to accomplish asynchronous objectives and tasks
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Pulumi implementations, AWS, Azure, or GCP services, and Kubernetes
Preferred Qualifications
We deliver projects working in Python, TypeScript, Go, C#, and Java, so you should be comfortable with at least two of these and willing to learn others
Benefits
- Base Salary Hiring Range: $155,000 - $195,000
- This role will include a 20% commission/variable along with base salary
- All full time employee offers at Pulumi include base salary, bonus/variable/commission, equity and benefits (details below)
