Cloud Engineer

Summary

The job description is for a Lead Cloud Engineer role in Mindera, where the employee will be part of an agile project team working on infrastructure pieces and guiding the team on DevOps methodologies. They are expected to have experience with various programming languages, cloud providers, CI/CD, serverless architecture, containers, orchestration frameworks, monitoring tools, and more.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English, as you will have close contacts with CEO, COO (others) from client side
• Experience using one or more programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Bash or JavaScript
• Roaming around Linux/Unix systems and pinpointing problem root causes
• Understanding how the Internet and Web applications work under the hood
• Metrics, logs, distributed tracing and everything around observability
• Configuration management frameworks such as Ansible
• Maintaining applications in a production environment
• Experience using Cloud provider AWS
• Experience setting up CI/CD and AWS networking and accounts
• Experience with Serverless, Event Driven Architectures
• Experience with Containers and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes and Docker
• A solid understanding of CI/CD independently from the tools - Github, Github actions, Jenkins are a plus
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and its tools, such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Cloudformation or CDK
• Experienced with monitoring using Grafana, Kibana, or other
• Experienced with language for automation task and scripting such as Bash, Python or Javascript
• Very comfortable with English and having conversations with C-Level from client side (CEO, COO, CMO, CFO)
• Feeling humble and motivated by being able to learn/teach others

Responsibilities

• Be part of an agile project team working with all the infrastructure pieces of a system
• Guide the team on DevOps methodologies and best practices
