Summary

Join Gorilla Logic as a Cloud Migration Senior Consultant and contribute to a large-scale enterprise migration initiative for a portfolio of 70+ applications and infrastructure workloads. You will play a key role in the Learn & Plan phases of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, bridging technical discovery and execution planning. Your responsibilities include conducting portfolio migration readiness and discovery, application-level discovery and profiling, migration planning and technical consulting, and delivery support and collaboration.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or technical consulting with at least 3 years of hands-on Azure migration experience
  • Proficient in using tools such as
  • Azure Migrate / Azure Migrate Appliance
  • Azure Monitor, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), and Cost Management tools
  • Strong understanding of migration strategies (Rehost, Refactor, Rearchitect) and hybrid environments
  • Hands-on experience conducting technical assessments, dependency analysis, and performance diagnostics for complex systems
  • Familiarity with Azure Landing Zones, resource group strategies, and Well-Architected Framework principles
  • Excellent documentation and client communication skills; ability to contribute to technical artifacts and working sessions

Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis of portfolio-level metadata including application complexity, business criticality, and product grouping logic
  • Run tooling-based discovery using Azure Migrate, Azure Monitor VM Insights, and other Microsoft-native tools to inventory
  • Physical and virtual hosts
  • Applications, databases, and middleware
  • Network topology and cross-system dependencies
  • Document findings to support directional roadmap efforts, including workload grouping and early prioritization logic
  • Confirm application list with stakeholders and understand business and technical context
  • Review and validate architectural documentation, SLAs, performance metrics, and compliance requirements
  • Capture deep technical insights including
  • Storage profiles
  • Network traffic patterns and latency dependencies
  • On-prem constraints or legacy stack risks
  • Contribute to validation of Azure Landing Zone readiness and identify blockers
  • Develop application-level migration strategies (e.g., rehost, replatform) based on discovery and readiness findings
  • Create draft cutover, rollback, and testing plans aligned with timelines
  • Assist in preparing Azure cost estimates and infrastructure sizing using Azure TCO tools and pricing calculators
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers to build detailed, execution-ready migration documentation
  • Engage in ongoing collaboration with the broader Solutions and Delivery teams to ensure cross-functional alignment
  • Participate in client-facing working sessions, technical deep-dives, and risk mitigation discussions
  • Provide input to the development of Migration Plans, Roadmaps, and stakeholder presentations
  • Application Discovery Profiles and Dependency Maps
  • Readiness Assessments and Risk Logs
  • Azure Infrastructure Sizing & Cost Models
  • Migration Plan (Schedule, Roles, Migration Paths)
  • Execution Guidance for Testing, Cutover, and Rollback

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications: AZ-104, AZ-305, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Experience with legacy modernization and compliance-sensitive workloads
  • Background in fast-paced consulting, managed services, or enterprise IT
  • Experience supporting RFP-driven or competitive replacement migration scenarios
