Cloud Platform Specialist

Summary

Join Datacom as a Cloud Platform Specialist and manage our cloud infrastructure, focusing on continuous improvement and leveraging agile methodologies. You will support various technologies (compute, storage, data protection, networking, automation), collaborate with stakeholders, proactively address issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain compliance with Datacom's policies and stay updated on industry developments. This role involves proactive platform management and participation in a 24x7 on-call support roster. Requirements

• Have working knowledge or ability to rapidly gain a working understanding of the various technologies underpinning the Datacom Private Cloud
• Have experience working in a multi-tenanted cloud environment
• Have practical experience working with virtualised environments running on VMware, Hyper-V or other hypervisors
• Have understanding of Enterprise Storage platforms (EMC preferred), fibre channel switching infrastructure (Cisco preferred) and associated Management platforms

Responsibilities

• Support the various technologies deployed to deliver the Datacom Cloud. These technologies cover compute, storage, data protection, networking and automation
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Datacom to produce a single cloud vision and value proposition
• Demonstrate proactive ownership of identified issues as well as effective communication for suggested resolution efforts
• Proactively engage with customers to ensure their requirements are continually being met with positive outcomes
• Comply with all Datacom Cloud Operational and Information Security Management policies, procedures and processes to ensure an exceptional level of quality
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of current market and industry developments and provide suitable interpretation to Management and relevant staff within the organisation
• Proactively support and manage the Datacom Cloud platform devices and applications
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support roster
