Cloud Service Operations Manager

Summary

Join Centric Software as a Cloud Operations Manager and lead multiple teams of cloud engineers supporting 600+ global customers. You will be responsible for the strategic direction of cloud infrastructure, operational delivery, and service quality improvement. This remote position, based in APAC (possibly Japan or China), reports to the Senior Director, Cloud Operations. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in public cloud operations, team management, and modern cloud-native platforms. Requirements

• Possess 10+ years of experience in public cloud operations (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Have 5+ years of experience managing, mentoring, motivating, and growing a goal-driven delivery team
• Demonstrate expert understanding of modern application and database technologies
• Have experience designing or operating containers and container management platforms (Rancher preferred)
• Possess deep experience in operating modern cloud-native platforms focused on infrastructure as code, autoscaling, self-healing, etc., with heavy reliance on automation
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including experience in leading and mentoring resources
• Have hands-on experience in owning and operating 24x7 systems with resiliency and scale
• Possess solid working experience with Unix/Linux Server, Databases (RDBMS, SQL, and NoSQL), Search, Containerization, and Orchestration technologies
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, a similar degree, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Cloud Engineering SME with ultimate ownership of all private and public cloud-based hosting solutions
• Drive continuous improvement, leading self, clients, and teams in adopting modern digital trends and cutting-edge technologies
• Improve and maintain cloud engineering best practices and guidelines
• Manage budget, resourcing, and strategic expenditures to ensure effective, efficient, and predictable operations
• Provide strong leadership and mentoring, including professional and personal development for team members
