Requirements
- Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of extensive experience in Cloud Support, FinTech Support, Site Reliability, or related roles
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering roles
- Profound understanding of SRE/Support principles and best practices
- Strong expertise with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and familiarity with Azure or GCP
- Proficiency in deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts and tools, including Terraform/Ansible
- Advanced proficiency in the Python programming language and its associated development toolchain
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a track record of troubleshooting complex issues
- API knowledge
- Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities, enabling effective teamwork
Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage cloud-based infrastructure in accordance with industry best practices
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and scalability
- Implement automation for provisioning, scaling, and maintaining cloud resources
- Establish and maintain service-level objectives (SLOs) and service-level indicators (SLIs) to measure system reliability and performance
- Continuously monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and performance
- Conduct post-incident reviews (PIRs) and implement remediation plans to prevent future incidents
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to incidents and outages promptly
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve production incidents and minimize customer impact
- Provide technical customer support to address inquiries and issues related to our cloud services, ensuring timely and effective resolutions
- Ensure the security and compliance of cloud resources by implementing best practices and security controls
- Stay updated on security vulnerabilities and apply patches and fixes as needed
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IAC) scripts and templates to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for deploying infrastructure changes
- Document system architecture, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in shell scripting languages like Bash Python
- Familiarity with tools such as Airflow, Grafana
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus/Grafana or Datadog
- Understanding of SQL database technologies like MySQL or PostgreSQL
