Summary

Join AlphaSense's Legal team as a Contracts Manager, working remotely in the USA (East Coast preferred) or in our New York City headquarters. You will independently review and negotiate a high volume of contracts, primarily revenue-generating customer agreements. This role involves managing the full contract lifecycle, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring efficient contract processes. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of experience in drafting and negotiating software/technology subscription agreements, strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with contract management software (Ironclad preferred). Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating software and technology subscription agreements
  • Ability to manage a high volume of contracts
  • Superior business acumen with an unrivaled commitment and deep-seated need to provide responsive client service to our teams and get things done; approaches responsibilities with a business friendly and pragmatic mindset while maintaining a commensurate balance of risk
  • Energetic, authentic, and friendly with a great sense of humor; capable of displaying strong negotiation skills and the ability to support difficult positions in a firm and patient manner
  • Effective communicator with the ability to interact with both internal and external professionals of all types and backgrounds
  • Proficient with contracts management software (Ironclad preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review the company’s contracts and provide general transactional support across the organization with a heavy emphasis on sales while adhering to department service levels and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain an organized contracts repository to help the Legal Department operate efficiently
  • Manage e-signature process for the contracts team
  • Establish the proper processes and procedures to ensure contracts are always provided prompt attention. Create tracking mechanism and prepare documentation, reports to support contract management activities
  • Assist with other contracts projects, including contract process and management efficiencies, improvements, innovation, and training

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with information security, data privacy, intellectual property, and/or financial services
