Summary
Join Tremendous, a fast-growing, fully remote company, as their highly motivated Commercial Counsel. You will be responsible for contract management, supporting the business by managing and streamlining agreements with clients, partners, and vendors. This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of legal experience with a focus on contracts, ideally in-house or at a firm serving technology or financial services clients. You will report to the Head of Legal and Compliance and play a critical role in shaping processes and policies as the company scales. Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of legal experience, with a focus on contracts, ideally in-house or at a firm serving technology or financial services clients
- Exceptional contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with CLM software and an interest in improving processes through technology
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Clear, concise communicator who can explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- Agile and flexible in adapting to new challenges, technologies, and regulatory environments
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including client agreements, vendor contracts, and partner agreements
- Maintain and improve our contracts repository and related processes, leveraging CLM tools
- Support contract lifecycle processes to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies
- Provide guidance on legal and regulatory issues in financial services, fintech, and payments
- Assist with cross-functional initiatives, including risk assessments and process improvements
- Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and compliance teams to understand client needs and ensure contracts align with business objectives
- Develop and refine templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines to increase efficiency
- Identify opportunities to streamline contract-related workflows using CLM software and other tools
