Summary
Join Stitch Fix's communications team as an Internal Communications Lead, supporting the People & Culture and Operations teams. Develop strategic communication plans, identify and solve communication challenges, and drive awareness of Stitch Fix's business transformation. You will partner with leaders, support events, measure communication effectiveness, and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives. This role requires 5+ years of experience in communications, ideally in retail or technology, with a focus on HR/People & Culture communications. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, storyteller, and strong collaborator, passionate about communications and the employee experience. Based in the Bay Area or willing to travel to San Francisco occasionally.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in communications roles, ideally within the retail and/or technology industries
- Direct experience supporting communication efforts for Human Resources/People & Culture teams
- Experience supporting a de-centralized workforce
- Based in the Bay Area or are able to travel when needed – (about 4 times a year) to our San Francisco, CA Headquarters to attend relevant events and team meetings
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic communications plans for the People & Culture and Operations divisions that ladder to the company’s broader business strategy and reach key internal audiences
- Identify communication gaps and challenges and create solutions to overcome them while driving meaningful communication strategies for initiatives including benefits communications, talent management communications, organizational changes, and more
- Drive awareness of how Stitch Fix is transforming its business to deliver for its clients and drive sustainable, profitable growth in the future
- Be a trusted partner who provides data driven counsel to leaders and stakeholders
- Build and maintain cross functional relationships with a focus on the People & Culture and Operations teams
- Support division-specific events (e.g., Divisional All Hands, Fireside Chats) by partnering with leaders on end-to-end planning and execution including content development and managing logistics
- Also support People & Culture teams appearances at enterprise events
- Support enterprise-wide events based at our San Francisco, CA Headquarters as needed, in partnership with the People & Culture team
- Measure and optimize the effectiveness of communications by managing metrics to track the effectiveness of all People & Culture and Operations communications and advise on pivots as needed
- Support enterprise internal communications programs by leading or supporting large-scale initiatives as needed, including our enterprise awards strategy and recognition programming
- Be a brand ambassador by protecting and promoting the Stitch Fix brand and always looking for opportunities to tell the Stitch Fix story to employees
