Summary
Join Sterlington, a growing international law firm, as their Communications Manager! This remote, full-time independent contractor position requires leading internal and external communications strategies. You will build and develop communications infrastructure, manage internal channels, collaborate with external PR agencies, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, experience in strategic communications projects (ideally multi-jurisdictional), and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment. Requirements
- Demonstrable experience of leading strategic communications projects β desirable if these projects were run multi-jurisdictional
- C.6+ yearsβ experience working within a communications role with some of this experience gained at Manager level
- Vendor analysis, selection, and implementation experience around internal communications / intranet platforms
- Exceptional written, oral, and presentational skills in English. Persuasive and inspiring in their communications style and effectively influences stakeholders at various levels within the Firm
- Highly adept at prioritizing a busy workload with multiple stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a diverse, fast-paced, international business
Responsibilities
- Take the lead in working with HR to establish a communications strategy for the business change and people strategy initiatives
- Own and manage all internal comms channels and platforms (newsletters, apps, emails, intranet, webinars etc)
- Collaborate with internal teams on firm or global team-wide comms across multiple areas (HR, D&I, IT, accounting etc)
- Work closely with external PR agencies and other external partners to manage and execute external communications, including media relations, press releases, and proactive storytelling initiatives that elevate the Firm's brand presence in the market
- Support on key internal events and get-togethers, including comms & planning
- Understand the overlap between communications and brand. Can visualize and concisely explain communications concepts to wider team members to ensure ideas reflect our brand
- Design and roll out a βtown-hallβ programme, to provide our global team members with senior leadership updates
- Proactively seek to make recommendations to improve ways of working and suggest ideas and process improvements across the team and the firm
- Act as the primary point of contact for external communications, ensuring that our external messaging is aligned with our internal narrative and supports the Firm's strategic objectives
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of professional services (partnerships) environment would be advantageous, given our organizational structure, however it is more important that the candidate demonstrates their ability to work across different countries, noting cultural and communications nuances
