Summary

Join Cleo, a fast-growing fintech unicorn, as their Compliance Manager (Testing & Audit)! This newly created role reports to the Head of Legal and Compliance and involves leading day-to-day testing, issue management, monitoring, and audit functions of the Compliance program. You will manage external audits, state licensing applications, and compliance oversight of action plans. The ideal candidate possesses at least five years of experience in consumer banking, payments, or lending Testing/Audit, strong familiarity with NMLS, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Requirements

  • Have at least five years of work experience in consumer banking, payments or lending Testing/Audit
  • Be comfortable carving your path in a fast-paced environment
  • Have strong familiarity with NMLS
  • Be able and excited to conceive of and execute projects independently
  • Have the ability to quickly pick up new concepts, and dive into a problem with a solutions-oriented, outcome-focused mindset – even with no prior background in the subject matter
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities, and the ability to develop creative solutions for challenging, open-ended problems

Responsibilities

  • Lead external audit and partner testing initiatives; manage documentation, communication and updates to bank partners in this area
  • Manage company state licensing applications through NMLS and lead license related and other regulatory examinations
  • Drive compliance oversight of action plans to ensure timely closure, in partnership with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on cross functional issue management initiatives, working to identify, log and close out issues
  • As we scale, you’ll help us identify new opportunities to enhance compliance and protect the businesses from unreasonable risk
