This remote position, with a preference for Tampa, FL, will lead compliance efforts, working with an outside law firm to maintain licenses and regulatory compliance. You will assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, ensuring legal documents and business practices adhere to regulations. Responsibilities include monitoring compliance, developing procedures, identifying issues, maintaining records, managing license renewals, and conducting legal research. Requirements

  • An associate’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in contract law and compliance is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track compliance with contractual requirements and legal obligations
  • Assist in developing and implementing compliance procedures and protocols
  • Identify potential compliance issues and escalate to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and documentation
  • Manage TPA license renewals and applications while maintaining a status dashboard
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, service agreements, and commercial contracts
  • Ensure contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Summarize key terms and obligations within contracts
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case law
  • Analyze legal documents and identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Prepare reports and summaries of research findings
  • Organize and maintain legal files and databases of contracts and other legal documents
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of legal documents
  • Utilize electronic document management systems
  • Manage the inventory and location of all Customer and Vendor Contracts within Zoho CRM
  • Provide administrative support to executive management, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and preparing legal documents
  • Assist with client communications and outreach
  • Maintain a professional and organized workspace
  • Remain current on trends and industry knowledge establishing self as subject matter expert
  • Other duties as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is a plus
  • Experience in a regulated industry with specific state insurance requirements is a plus
