Summary
Join Tether, a leader in stablecoins, as a Compliance Risk Assessment and Internal Testing Analyst. You will work closely with the Risk Assessment and Internal Testing Manager to implement the company's AML risk assessment framework. Your responsibilities include evaluating inherent and residual risk, identifying and documenting risks and controls, and performing control effectiveness tests. You will also analyze processes, conduct preparatory work for assignments, and propose recommendations to reinforce controls. This fully remote role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience in risk management or compliance, and the ability to work independently. While a bachelor's degree is preferred, experience in risk management/internal control/compliance is required.

- Confidence in making decisions as delegated by the Compliance Manager/CCO
- Previous professional experience in risk management / internal control / compliance
- Ability to build relationships both internally and externally
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Team player as well as independent thinker with strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (incl. creating pivot tables)
- Demonstrated critical-thinking skills (decision-making)
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Organizational understanding (enhanced in the role)
Responsibilities
- Evaluating inherent and residual risk
- Identifying, characterizing, and documenting risks and controls
- Performing control design assessment and effectiveness analysis: defining test samples, executing control effectiveness tests, and documenting results
- Performing analysis and understanding of processes / activities through meetings and walkthroughs with process owners and involved stakeholders
- Conducting preparatory work for assignments, including obtaining information to better understand the scope and processes subject to analysis
- Performing critical analysis on risk exposure current situation, proposing recommendations to reinforce controls
- Provide administrative and analytical support to the Compliance Team
- Assist with internal projects related to regulatory preparation and examination
- Ensure robust regulatory compliance for Tether
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Basic knowledge of blockchain technology
- CAMS/CBP designation or equivalent
