This role requires in-depth investigative skills, a strong understanding of AML regulations, and excellent communication abilities. You will analyze findings, recommend corrective actions, and support the Compliance Officer in various tasks, including customer due diligence reviews and regulatory audits. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Compliance Standards and AML/CFT regulation in the financial services and crypto industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, law, or social sciences
  • Strong ability to conduct in-depth investigations, research, and pattern recognition of unusual or suspicious activities
  • Solid understanding of AML local regulation and international standards
  • Knowledge of AML Best Practices (local and international)
  • Knowledge of PEPs and what documentation and information is required for approval
  • Strong communication skills to effectively synthesize, visualize, present and communicate your ideas to leadership and stakeholders in both Spanish and English
  • Experience in the execution of internal controls to ensure compliance with AML local regulations
  • Understanding the management of automated AML systems and the development of alert scenarios

Responsibilities

  • Perform monitoring, alert investigation, analysis and assignation, as well as case escalation related to fiat and crypto transactions
  • Conduct investigations in relation to compliance matters
  • Full customer analysis to submit cases to be discussed in the CCC
  • Ensure any emerging trends or relevant control issues are raised to the AML senior management
  • Ensure timely response to requests for information due to reviews or inspection visits made by local authorities
  • Ensure that the AML policies and procedures are aligned with the local regulations and international standards
  • Provide support to the Compliance Officer in the review of the escalations related to High Risks customers, PEPs and possible SARs
  • Provide support for the attention of internal, external, and regulatory audits
  • Verify customer information and conduct Due Diligence Reviews as part of AML Policy and remediation programs
  • Work side by side with the Customer Support team to resolve critical queries from our customers
  • Support in the elaboration of processes related to monitoring and investigation or other compliance issues
  • Assist the Compliance team in projects
