Summary

Join Pennylane, a fast-growing FinTech company, as a freelance training consultant! You will deliver high-quality training modules to new accounting firms, ensuring they maximize the value of Pennylane's software. Your responsibilities include designing training plans, conducting sessions (in-person and online), gathering feedback, and adapting training content. This role requires significant experience in accounting firms, strong pedagogical skills, and proficiency in digital tools. Requirements

• Possess significant experience in a public accounting firm, including accounting production, auditing, and preparation of tax returns
• Be available at least 8 days per month for training, with the ability to travel within a defined geographical area (approximately 2-3 hours from your home)
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and pedagogical skills, interacting empathetically and playfully with learners to facilitate their engagement in digital transformation
• Agility in using Pennylane's digital tools, such as Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace, for seamless integration into work processes
• Ability to quickly learn training modules to adapt to changes in training offerings
• Comfort with presentations and videoconferences, requiring a good internet connection
• Participation in administrative tasks and product monitoring to stay informed of platform developments, with an investment in Pennylane's vision to create a community of partner trainers
• Experience in a public accounting firm
• Accounting degree
• Aptitude/interest for pedagogy and training

Responsibilities

• Integrate into your team and spend time with each member to familiarize yourself with this new environment
• Learn everything you need to know about our company, our vision, and our different departments
• Train on the product and accounting management through e-learning modules
• Follow experienced team members (shadowing) to discover the missions smoothly
• Guide your first clients through live training sessions, or through pre-scheduled webinars
• Gather, identify and analyze the training needs
• Design and implement a training plan by preparing the necessary materials
• Work closely with the Account Manager in charge of the account
• Facilitate a group (5 people and more) by transmitting your knowledge of the platform to allow new users to acquire and update their skills
• Understand the learners' requests and know how to rephrase their needs
• Show adaptability and pedagogy
• Ensure the follow-up of the training plan
• Offer users a questionnaire to collect their feedback
• Evaluate the trained persons (and therefore the success rate of your module)
• Readjust the content of the trainings according to the collected feedbacks and the success rate of the module
• Transmit all the necessary information to the Account Manager, so that he can take over and follow the client in the long term
• Become a technical expert, and increase your team's efficiency by identifying areas for improvement
• Intervene in the training of increasingly strategic clients
• Take ownership and lead to the success of projects that you care about and that make you progress
• As the team grows, you will have opportunities to evolve towards technical leadership or team mentoring/management
