- Demonstrate B2B consulting ability with a proven track record, great client relationships, and experience running the full project lifecycle
- Demonstrate field-readiness by having led field investigations researching people in places analogous to where we work (e.g., rural villages, informal settlements, etc., of Africa, Asia, and Latin America)
- Possess remote teamwork ability, being self-starting, communicative, accountable, and able to foster trust and belonging within a small remote team
- Possess strong writing skills, demonstrating clear and concise writing in interpersonal communication and research reporting

- Provide guidance on lean experimentation (if scoped)
- Manage clients
- Maintain a healthy culture and stay true to Appleseed's core values

- Thrive in small, tight-knit groups and help tighten the knitting
- Be a generalist, even if very good at certain things
- Consider no work beneath you
- Always seek wisdom
- Consider feedback a gift, even when hard to give or receive
