Summary

Join Strata Information Group (SIG), a leading provider of solutions for higher education institutions, as a part-time Ellucian Banner Finance Consultant. This role offers flexible hours and exciting project assignments, allowing you to contribute your expertise in Banner and financial operations to help clients optimize their systems. You will collaborate with business units, consult on process improvements, configure Banner, provide training, and troubleshoot issues. SIG values client satisfaction, integrity, and expertise in higher education, offering a remote work environment with occasional travel to client sites.

Requirements

• 5 or more years working within the Higher Education Industry
• 5 or more years of experience working with Ellucian Banner, demonstrating advanced user proficiency
• Experience implementing the Banner Finance module at a college or university
• Strong knowledge of financial operations, including general accounting, budgeting, and purchasing within the higher education industry
• Experience in a consulting capacity, focusing on enhancing business processes and demonstrated success in creating efficiency
• Ability to troubleshoot functional issues within Banner and communicate user requirements to the technical support team
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven customer service approach

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to understand financial operations and requirements
• Consult with clients in ways to utilize various technological tools to help improve business processes
• Configure the Banner financial module to meet business needs
• Provide expertise in using Banner to improve and automate business processes within the finance office at a college or university
• Assist in testing and implementation of financial software
• Troubleshoot issues related to system usage, configuration, and data integrity
• Provide end-user training and support documentation
• Keep abreast of industry changes and recommend system enhancements to increase efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing project-based work
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant
