Summary

Join Critical Mass and work directly for our Diageo client on a 12-month fixed-term contract as a Content Editor. This remote or London-based role focuses on editing, curating, and organizing content for two major websites. You will design and QA web pages, execute a large-scale content migration for 'The Bar', and collaborate with various teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong CMS experience (preferably Contentful) and a keen eye for visually appealing, user-friendly web design. This role requires managing multiple projects simultaneously and working effectively within a team environment.

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a content editor, web design or similar role
  • Experience with content management systems
  • An eye for creative page design
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Take approved copy, images and videos, upload to Contentful, and use to design and create pages that are both visually appealing, easily navigated and optimised across devices
  • Map content from old to new page designs as part of a content migration
  • Upload approved copy, images and videos to Contentful and input into pre-existing page templates e.g. Product Description Pages
  • Input approved meta data and image alt text
  • Review the completeness of content submitted for automatic bulk upload and identify where content is missing if relevant
  • When required, source additional or replacement images and videos from Diageo’s content hub or Diageo stakeholders and upload to Contentful for use on-site
  • QA all owned page designs before publishing
  • Review and tweak page designs from other teams if needed and as capacity allows
  • Support with QA as part of a content migration and site relaunch
  • Work closely with other members of the wider team and relevant stakeholders to understand upcoming work, deadlines and requirements
  • Partner with product managers and development teams to highlight new requirements and/or bugs as identified through design, upload and migration processes
  • Attend relevant team meetings and stakeholder meetings as required and report on project status, workload and capacity
  • Document all content projects in relevant internal process tool (DevOps) to enable visibility and clarity on workload across team and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Contentful
  • An understanding of foundational SEO and site accessibility principles and how they relate to page design
  • Being comfortable and agile in the face of changing deadlines and ambiguity
  • Feeling empowered to push back and negotiate priorities based on capacity and deadlines
