Content Enrichment Specialist

Summary

Join our team as a Content Enrichment Specialist - MENA and contribute to the curation of pop culture video content for our client. You will review, analyze, and research online video content, ensuring compliance with guidelines and providing valuable feedback. Leverage your passion for pop culture and social media trends to identify patterns and offer insights into the digital landscape. This role demands adaptability, excellent communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Fluency in English and Arabic is essential. This is a part-time, remote position based in the United Kingdom, offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
• Bachelor’s degree or experience in relevant job or industry
• Deep familiarity with the cultural and political climates in the MENA region
• Comfortable working with Google Suite, time tracking tools, with spreadsheets and other data management tools
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in guidelines, workflows, and tools
• Strong understanding of digital streaming products, particularly video and its ecosystem

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver feedback and research on video content
• Review video content to ensure compliance with provided guidelines and criteria to meet client’s goals
• Identify patterns or trends in video content, adhering to client guidelines
• Evaluate and assess an assigned number of videos required to meet daily deliverables
• Provide high-quality examples of video content relevant to a trend or pop culture moment as requested by client
• Curate video content through selection, organization and presentation to build stories
• Apply a keen awareness of current pop culture and cultural /political climates in the MENA region to all work
• Engage with the client in a professional manor in meetings and for project specific clarifications and feedback
• Accurately track time spent on client and 1021 related work through the 1021 provided time tracking tool and in time sheets
• In collaboration with your manager, support the administration of training teammates as needed
• Special projects as needed
• Must be available to work occasional holidays
• May be required to work weekend days

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working remotely and within multicultural teams
• Experience with content moderation, content review, curation, or similar roles
• Knowledge of content review guidelines, best practices, and how to apply them
• Experience with copywriting /proofreading and an aptitude for journalism /editorial work, preferably with a focus on entertainment content
• The ability to review information with an analytical and objective mindset in a fast paced environment
• A keen interest in/knowledge of pop culture, social media trends and creators, and trending video content
• Strong familiarity with memes, hit songs and content trends in pop culture including music, dance, gaming, beauty, fashion, film, TV, pets, comedy, and/or sports
• Familiar with popular social media platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, X, Twitch, Clubhouse, etc
