Requirements
- Minimum Bachelors
- 1 year or more of relevant SEO experience, particularly in content-driven environments
- In-depth knowledge of on-page SEO, semantic SEO, and how to optimize content for featured snippets
- Up to date with latest Google announcements regarding SEO
- Familiarity with content marketing and its role in SEO success
- Excellent comprehension and analytical skills to interpret SEO data and provide clear, actionable insights
- Proficiency in using SEO tools such as SEMrush and Ahrefs, or similar for keyword research, technical audits, and performance tracking
- Strong ability to collaborate with editorial teams and explain complex SEO concepts in simple terms
- Experience with Google Sheets/Excel, including advanced formula use and pivot tables for reporting
- Ability to create and maintain clear and compelling reports using tools like Google Looker Studio, showcasing key SEO metrics
- Understanding of structured data (Schema.org), and ability to implement or work with development teams for enhanced search visibility
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with writers and editors to produce and optimize SEO-friendly content that meets strategic goals, with a focus on user intent and delivering content that aligns with audience needs
- Conduct keyword research and analysis, not just for search rankings but to map keywords to user journeys and ensure that content serves different funnel stages (awareness, consideration, decision)
- Analyze demographics and user behavior to tailor SEO and content strategies for different audience segments, ensuring that content resonates with the intended target groups
- Integrate consumer psychology principles into content optimization to improve user engagement and drive conversions
- Use SEO tools like SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs to analyze content performance and refine strategies based on user experience metrics like bounce rate, time on page, and conversions
- Provide insights and recommendations on personalized user experiences in content, helping shape the narrative and flow to guide users toward desired actions
- Research competitor strategies and adapt internal SEO approaches, focusing on differentiating user experiences to meet specific user needs more effectively
- Continuously evaluate content to ensure it aligns with changing user behaviors, market trends, and search intent while driving traffic and engagement
