Summary

Virta Health is seeking dynamic physicians to join their core clinical team, offering a solution for diabetes, pre-diabetes, and weight management. The role involves providing remote care, managing patients through continuous remote care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and participating in the development of new technology and protocols.

Requirements

• Unrestricted medical license
• South Carolina residents (live in the state) are particularly desired
• Board certified in a relevant specialty (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Endocrinology are preferred)
• Experience and competence in diabetes management
• Outstanding bedside manner & patient service orientation
• Excellent organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely care during office hours
• Provide highest quality patient-centered care
• Manage your panel of patients through continuous remote care
• Be proactive in ensuring adequate follow up of patients and their concerns
• Share after-hours coverage with our team
• Actively participate in the development of new technology and protocols to improve patient care and outcomes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers & health coaches
• Have a growth mindset, be flexible and agile in a rapidly growing company
• Supervise NP members of the team and contribute to improving quality of care

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple state licenses are helpful
• Living in an IMLC state is also desirable but not required
• Deep interest in the science behind Virta, and commitment to Virta’s nutritional approach to diabetes reversal
• Telemedicine experience preferred
