Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, with focus in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in contracts or legal profession
  • Experience in reviewing, editing, and compliant execution of contract agreements
  • Experience managing the full lifecycle of contracts, including pre-award, award, execution, and closeout
  • Ability to advise program team of contractual issues/opportunities and impacts of contract terms and conditions and flow down requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and identifying appropriate FAR/DFARs requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and implement new ideas to streamline and improve business processes across contracts and other functions
  • Ability to foster relationships both internally within the company and externally with Contracting Officers and prime contracts POCs

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface with Contracting Officers and prime teaming partners, building relationships and effectively communicating to drive contract compliance
  • Negotiate and support internal understanding of contractual terms and conditions, ensuring favorable positions and outcomes for the company
  • Work across functional teams to ensure the contract is performed in accordance with contractual and legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations to proactively monitor contract funding, and timely notify the Government and Prime Contractors of limitations of funds
  • Ensure company risk associated with funding shortfalls is properly mitigated through ATP and contract funding requests and tracking
  • Document key contract data for company files, processes, and requests for information, including participating in workflows with other functions to develop contract briefs and other records as appropriate
  • Serve as a resource and escalation point for Operations and other teams as issues related to contracts arise
  • Operate as an internal partner and subject matter expert to support the company in navigating complex contract challenges and opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively negotiate contract terms and conditions to maintain preferable outcomes and positive relationships
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and utilize time management techniques to meet deadlines and complete tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate teamwork and flexibility
  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or equivalent certification desired
