Contracts Specialist

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal or paralegal experience—bonus points for prior work in court settings, commercial law, or contract negotiation
• Familiarity with the types of agreements common in consulting, professional services, or venture environments
• Confidence reviewing and drafting legal terms with minimal hand-holding
• A knack for distilling complex legal language into something clear and usable
• Comfort working asynchronously and with light-touch direction

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and review a range of legal and business documents: NDAs, MNDAs, vendor and independent consulting agreements
• Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Service Agreements (MSA), client agreements and more
• Spot and flag risk areas in draft agreements, particularly around liability, scope, or commercial alignment
• Help maintain visibility into key contractual terms—like renewal dates, confidentiality terms, or usage rights
• Occasionally coordinate with external counsel on regional or international legal matters
• Provide flexible support on ad hoc legal needs, formatting, or technical editing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cross-border agreements, global contracting, or international regulations is a plus
• Business-minded, detail-oriented, and happy to roll up your sleeves when needed
