Summary
Join Imply's finance team as Corporate Controller, reporting to the CFO. You will oversee all aspects of accounting, cash management, international subsidiary accounting, payroll, planning, compliance, audits, and stock option plan administration. Manage the accounting team and collaborate with other departments. Responsibilities include financial close, audits, tax preparation, system improvements, team leadership, and subsidiary management. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience as a Controller at a venture-backed B2B software company, a CPA, and experience with GAAP, audits, and foreign subsidiaries. Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller at venture-backed B2B s/w companies
- U.S. GAAP CPA; audit experience at a Big 4 firm is a plus
- Led diligence from an accounting perspective during successful company exits and capital raises
- Subscription, consumption, m2m, and services revenue management and accounting experience
- Proven ability to deliver timely and accurate financial closes and clean annual financial audits
- Effective manager of cash and cash burn
- Implemented process and systems improvements that have improved the accounting function; passion for constant improvement
- Foreign subsidiaries administration experience from an accounting perspective (Canada, UK, India, Israel)
- Able to work and collaborate comfortably with individuals at all levels within the company
- In-depth knowledge of accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters
- Carta, Sage Intacct, Airbase, and Avalara experience
- Hands-on leader with a proven ability to motivate, lead and develop lean, high-functioning accounting teams

Responsibilities
- Financial close, financial audits and cash management
- Tax preparation and filing (working with our tax partner)
- Accounting systems and processes
- Improving our accounting systems and processes
- Accounting team leadership and development (3 employees and 3 contractors)
- Accounting function evolution
- Stock option plan and Carta administration
- Assist FP&A with planning and analysis
- Financial statement preparation and distribution
- Subsidiary management and compliance from an accounting and tax perspective
- Internal controls and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Data analytics, database, or data warehouse company experience
- Track record of successful company exits
