Summary

Join our rapidly growing multi-unit restaurant group as our experienced Controller! Lead our accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and driving continuous improvement. This hands-on role requires a proactive leader with extensive restaurant or hospitality industry experience. You will oversee the financial health of the organization, manage the accounting team, and prepare financial statements. You will also develop internal controls, provide financial analysis, and manage budgeting and forecasting. Collaboration with operational leadership is key to providing financial insights and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Proficiency in financial management systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting team, including accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and general ledger functions
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to support strategic decision-making
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and financial audits
• Implement best practices to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency
• Collaborate with operational leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA
• Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit retail industry
