Summary

Join our team as a seasoned Controller to lead accounting functions for Portoro's premium vacation rental homes and corporate financials. As a senior leader, you will oversee the end-to-end accounting cycle, drive accuracy and efficiency, and partner with stakeholders to support the company's growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s Degree or MBA preferred)
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior management or Controller role
• Active CPA or equivalent certification is required
• Expertise in Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and create financial models

Responsibilities

• Oversee and expand the accounting team
• Guide the accounting team on critical topics such as revenue recognition, accruals, reserves, and the proper treatment of general ledger transactions under GAAP
• Ensure the accounting close cycle is efficient and timely
• Continuously improve the accounting reconciliation process and other key finance functions
• Establish and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance and operational effectiveness
• Support banking relationships, manage cash flow, and contribute to financial planning and analysis
• Collaborate with product development, operations, and other departments to implement scalable accounting systems and processes
• Lead and support various strategic and ad hoc projects
