Summary

CookUnity is a meal delivery service that connects consumers with talented chefs. The company seeks an ambitious, creative copywriter to write engaging food descriptions for their dishes and collaborate with the Brand team. Requirements

• 1-2+ years experience writing product level copy
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
• Understanding of sales techniques to help sell and promote different meal types
• Attention to detail, good communication skills, and an ability to juggle multiple tasks on often short deadlines
• Understanding of food, nutrition, and culinary terminology
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging, and persuasive meal descriptions and titles
• Create chef bios to showcase the unique talents of each of our creators
• Develop copy for our food collections on the site to help promote and sell our products weekly
• Craft emotional meal descriptions for the front of meal sleeves
• Maintain a deep understanding of CookUnity’s audience and customers to ensure all copy is highly relevant and resonant with our target audience
• Ensure all copy aligns with the brand's tone, style, and messaging guidelines
• Conduct research on food trends, ingredients, and culinary techniques to enhance the quality of descriptions
• Edit and proofread copy for accuracy, grammar, and consistency
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge

Preferred Qualifications

• Food writing experience in the food industry
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Ability to create engaging and persuasive content that resonates with target audiences
