Summary
Join PrecisionAQ's Copy team as a healthcare writer, crafting compelling content for clients' brands. You will collaborate with senior writers and creative leaders, ensuring all copy is clear, accurate, and strategically aligned. Responsibilities include drafting copy, reviewing medical-legal feedback, developing creative concepts, and presenting to internal and client teams. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years of healthcare writing experience, a strong portfolio, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. While a major in English, Writing, or Business is preferred, it's not mandatory. PrecisionAQ offers a competitive salary range ($65,000-$85,000), along with a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years in healthcare writing to a target audience
- An appropriate portfolio
- May require travel domestically and/or internationally including overnight stays
- Copywriting
- Independent research
- Knowledge of Windows OS platform, including Microsoft Word
Responsibilities
- Draft copy for iterative projects based upon fully written pieces (eg, banner ads based on approved brochure)
- Review med-legal feedback and provide strategically based recommendations to client on how to evolve piece, based on brand knowledge and med-legal point of view
- Adhere to brand guidelines and style sheets provided by editorial
- As needed, work independently with medical writer and strategist to ensure content is aligned to current medical story and strategy, and to make edits as needed
- Partner with an art director to develop compelling creative concepts
- Present tactics to the internal team and to client
- Attend Creative meetings
- Attend internal meetings for assigned brands
- Attend Client meetings as an observer
- Archive completed copy documents in iMeet
- Maintain up-to-date copy documents throughout project lifecycle
- Thoroughly understand product category and competitors, as well as key data sets
- Be able to articulate how the disease works, the product works, and the story of the brand
- Remain focused on details but seek understanding of bigger picture of clients’ objectives and initiatives
- Support senior writers on new business pitches as needed
- Proactively seek to understand the greater process of the agency and the function of each department
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree’s major in English, Writing, Business, or similar
