Join Walden University's School of Nursing as a full-time, remote PhD program faculty member. Requirements
- Earned degree in Nursing AND an earned PhD in Nursing or health-related field from an accredited institution, with demonstrated coursework in one of the specialization areas: education, health care administration, Population Health, leadership/management, informatics
- Current RN licensure in one of the 50 states in the US
- Expertise in research/scholarship, theory, health care policy, leadership, health care administration
- Distinguished record of scholarship including externally funded research and peer-reviewed publications in one of the specialization areas (Nursing education, Leadership, Population Health, Health Care Administration, Informatics)
- Excellent communication, ability for teamwork, and human-relations skills
- Maintain licenses and any appropriate certifications to continue teaching at Walden University
- Maintain currency with research by reviewing articles, journals, and presentations
Responsibilities
- Teach courses
- Mentor student research
- Interact with students within the LMS (Learning Management System)
- Respond to student questions within 48 hours
- Provide timely feedback, approval, assessment, and evaluation of each student's work
- Attend Residencies (domestically) to teach face-to-face intensives and colloquia, and facilitate school and university-wide discussions
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, including administrative, supervisory, and management tasks, as determined by the program leadership
- Serve on faculty governance or academic policy committees
- Participate in activities to strengthen the academic reputation of Walden University
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of two yearsโ experience teaching graduate courses in one of the specialty areas (Education, Leadership, Health Policy, or Health Care Administration and informatics)
- Experience serving on dissertation supervisory committees and/or doctoral level committees
- Experience with distance learning
