Summary

Join Instructure as a Corporate Accountant and support the accounting department in various clerical and administrative tasks related to financial recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance. You will facilitate accurate and timely financial statements through monthly accruals, acting as a contact between accounting and internal stakeholders. This role involves implementing process improvements and communicating internal and GAAP principles company-wide. Cross-functional responsibilities include invoice processing, cash entries, and reconciliations. The role offers opportunities for growth and is ideal for a highly organized team player with strong technical accounting skills and effective communication. Future opportunities may include fixed assets management, travel and expense reconciliation, and lease accounting.

  • Have knowledge of income statement expense coding
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or be pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting with goals for future educational and professional advancement

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks related to financial recordkeeping, reporting and compliance
  • Facilitate accurate and timely financial statements through monthly accruals
  • Act as a contact between accounting and internal stakeholders to record unbilled expenses at month end
  • Implement process improvements and communicate internal and GAAP principles company-wide
  • Process invoices
  • Make cash entries
  • Perform reconciliations
  • Conduct training exercises

Preferred Qualifications

Have proficiency in Netsuite (preferred) or comparable accounting system
