Summary
Join Appfire's growing Corporate Development team as a Corporate Development Analyst, reporting to the Director of Corporate Development. You will play a key role in Appfire's acquisition process, working directly with senior leadership on acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and capital markets transactions. This hybrid role involves contributing to sourcing, evaluating, executing, and integrating acquisitions of cloud software vendors. You will create operating models, valuation analyses, and investment decks, collaborate with internal and external teams on due diligence, and streamline acquisition and integration processes. Requirements
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a financial transaction role (including investment banking, transaction advisory services or internal corporate development), ideally within SaaS / Software / Technology
- Strong financial and analytical skills; ability to create detailed financial and valuation models
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to present clearly and concisely
- Desire to receive feedback and implement changes in a highly iterative manner
- Impeccable integrity and empathy; words and actions must continually reinforce this characteristic
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment
- Ability to persevere and demonstrate resilience to obstacles and persist tirelessly towards set goals
- Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple work streams across multiple transactions in an organized manner
- Located in Boston, MA or New York, NY
Responsibilities
- Play an integral role in sourcing, evaluating, executing and integrating acquisitions of cloud software vendors across the enterprise collaboration market, including the Atlassian, Microsoft and Salesforce ecosystems and beyond
- Own the creation of operating models, valuation analyses and investment decks to present deals to internal investment committee, Board of Directors and financing providers
- Work with cross-functional internal teams and external advisors on the due diligence and post-close integration processes
- Conduct company, ecosystem and market research to build a pipeline and source potential acquisition targets
- Work with the Director of Corporate Development and CFO / COO to streamline, standardize and automate all major Corporate Development acquisition and integration processes
- Maintain the Corporate Development team’s systems and processes, including tools for the M&A pipeline and performance tracking
- Drive internal improvements to scale processes and benchmarking as we build out a world-class Corporate Development function
