Summary
Join EquipmentShare as a Tax Data Analyst in our Columbia, Missouri office (or remotely) and contribute to our profitability through data-driven analysis. You will be responsible for managing tax data inputs, designing data solutions, identifying roadblocks to automation, and serving as a key stakeholder in budgeting and forecasting. This role requires 5+ years of data analysis experience, a bachelor's degree in a related field, corporate finance exposure, experience with property taxes, strong SQL skills, and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship or an OPT Visa required
- 5+ years of experience or education focused on data analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
- Corporate finance exposure: specifically working with accounting and accounting data
- Experience working with property taxes and related data
- Strong SQL experience required
- Ability to swiftly extract key insights from data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and maintain the data inputs/sources that enable the indirect and direct tax teams to perform key reporting/compliance/planning functions
- Design and implement solutions to tax data needs (write and automate queries, etc.)
- Identify roadblocks to scaling and implementing automations to solve for those problems
- May involve coding lightweight web applications for using tools to connect to various data sources
- Serve as a key stakeholder in the budget and forecasting process
