Requirements
- Validated leadership experience, leading and developing a corporate development function within a technology or tech-enabled global organization
- 15+ years of extensive transaction experience within a large corporation, investment bank, private equity firm, and/or management consulting firm
- Comprehensive and significant experience across all facets of deal execution, including target identification, analysis, due diligence, negotiation, and post-deal integration, as well as ongoing portfolio analysis and optimization, including through divestitures
- Exceptional negotiation abilities, with a talent for creative problem-solving that enhances value for GoDaddy and our shareholders
- Strength in independently leading deals, with significant experience in sourcing, negotiating and closing complex transactions
- Demonstrated ability to run multiple projects concurrently, while aligning seamlessly with product, tech, corporate and related teams
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage partners at all levels
- Consistent track record in mentoring, coaching and continuous learning, across both direct reports and your own development
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach our Corporate Development function, by establishing a team which excels in developing, structuring, negotiating, and completing high-level acquisitions and strategic investments
- Cultivate robust strategic relationships with our executives and business unit leaders, to identify and accelerate strategic investment and acquisition opportunities
- Align closely with our strategy team, on investment and acquisition opportunities in line with our long-term strategic and operational goals
- Craft, establish and maintain a robust and repeatable process to sourcing, appraise and drive acquisition opportunities efficiently, from due diligence to closing
- Lead all aspects of, and ensure the financial success of projects, through meticulous case modeling and due diligence
- Conduct regular assessments of our portfolio, and ensure it is optimized through divestitures and other corporate actions
- Leverage and expand our network with venture capitalists, startups, investment banks, and other industry partners to identify potential targets
- Own and lead partner coordination, across our investment and acquisition activities
