Requirements
- Serves as an influential part of Neo4j's Content Marketing Team and wider Corporate Marketing organization
- Strong coach and influencer, putting ego aside. Willing to guide, listen to others, and self-identify as a lifelong learner
- Exceptional writing, editing, verbal, and visual organizational skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in crisp, concise communications
- 6-8+ years of experience in content development, executive communications, brand messaging, or presentation development
- Adept communicator with the ability to build strong relationships and influence colleagues in a collaborative, diplomatic style
- Experience in B2B enterprise tech and emerging tech, with the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate them for various audiences. Database, cloud, and/or graph technology preferred
- Experience working with executives and leadership and cross-functional teams, balancing proactive guidance and strategy with exceptional delivery
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive processes and versioning across multiple stakeholders
- Thrive in ambiguity where decisions may be iterative to keep moving forward in a fast-paced, hyper-growth organization. Willingness to pivot and adjust
- Deep attention to detail and an editorial mindset, with a background in technical writing, developer relations, or technical marketing
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- This role may require a small amount of domestic and international travel
Responsibilities
- Strategic Messaging, Storytelling, and Content
- Steward all corporate (brand) storylines and reference tools: Manage and support the evolution of positioning, corporate story, themes, and all related messaging documents, frameworks, and guidelines. Partner closely with brand, product marketing, developer relations, and corporate communications to develop any new messaging needed, connecting to product and solution value props
- Drive storyline evolutions: Be watchful of market trends and influencer shifts, make suggestions and adaptations that keep Neo4j relevant and timely. Partner cross-functionally to source proof points and customer stories, and ensure that the big ideas connect to technical depth to reinforce narrative arcs and drive credibility
- Develop corporate and bylined content: Collaborate with speakers, leadership, and content SMEs to bring Neo4jβs broader messaging to market. Topline assets, webpages, event messaging direction, blogs, and papers deliver accessible, compelling stories for diverse audiences, with a focus on developers and technical business decision makers
- Own presentation direction and story: Manage keynote and product vision development, and the readiness of each speakerβs presentation. Partner with leadership, product marketing, brand, events, and other stakeholders to ensure the story and flow remain intact while customizing for announcements, speaker preferences, partnerships, and other nuances
- Uphold operational excellence & accountability: Model execution excellence with clear workflows for content and presentations, SLAs, timing, owners, critical milestones, format needs (PPT, Google Slides, etc), and other resourcing needed for readiness
- Think about the ecosystem: Ability to think about the customer journey and the ecosystem that helps bring content to life, both form-factor related (derivative content, video, social, etc) and support teams required for finalization and activation (campaigns, brand, creative, etc). Create reusable frameworks and templates to scale with repeatable motions
- Serve as our brand steward : Uphold editorial guidelines, recommend imagery to elevate and reinforce content concepts, keep a keen eye on brand expectations in close partnership with the creative team
- Lead by example : Encourage ideas, positivity, and nearly constant adaptation with close team members and agency partners. Drive quick decision-making, diplomacy, and follow through with integrity. Celebrate success, own mistakes, and showcase your own learning as you coach and adjust to move forward
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tools like Google Slides, PowerPoint, Asana, Bynder; visual storytelling experience a plus
