Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of banking experience
  • Minimum Grade 12 with combination of education and practical experience
  • Available Credit Analyst training/courses to be taken within the first 12 months
  • Analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and analyzing financial statements
  • Preparing credit investigations, security inspections and searches
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed and accurate
  • Assisting members with loan and deposit inquiries
  • Communicating information accurately to members and team members
  • Preparing commercial loan renewals
  • Preparing credit facility letters for review; assist in resolution of outstanding security/account deficiencies
  • Understand the corporate structure of members (Op-co, Holdco, multiple owners etc.)
  • Understand the basics of financial statements, different types and what each statement means
  • Completing ratio analysis and understanding what each ratio means
  • Initiate Annual Review process
  • Ensuring a high level of member satisfaction by assisting with inquiries, following up as necessary, and understanding the members finances to recommend the most valuable products and services
